A Walk in the park

One of the things I love about living here is the cold weather.  When it has been below zero for a week or so, the locals go to the Chateau park in nearby Lednice, and get out on the ice with their skates.  Last year we went one Saturday morning to get some photos, but Saturday morning isn't a good time, so this year, we went over on Sunday afternoon in the hope we would have better luck.  There still weren't many people, maybe because it was snowing quite hard, but here are a few photos we took.

  3. Gorgeous photos Di - that's kind of what I imagined it would be like in your neck of the woods. It's pouring here today but 'we' like the rain :-)

  5. It looks gorgeous, so romantic! And just like out of a movie. Is that a castle of royalty? What is the building used for, eg private residence, government building etc?

  11. Long time no comment, I'm sorry. I love the photos, you've captured the winter, slightly fairy tale-ish mood perfectly.
