Hand Made

The Big Stitch Swap

Last night I finished the last bit of hand sewing on my Big Stitch Swap, and it's ready to go out to my secret partner next week.

And here's a close up of the hand quilting, because you can't see it on the main photograph.
This is my first real project that is almost entirely hand made, and it's going to be very hard to give it up!

This is also my first finish for the Q3 FAL
Finish Along 2014

  1. I saw this swap but was too over-committed to take part but have watched it unfold with great interest. I love this cushion, both the way that it's pieced and quilted. I bet it'll be loved by your partner :)

  5. I think I should be your swap partner (overlooking the small complication of not actually being in the swap)...

  6. I love it, such detail....perhaps we'll see you doing more hand stitching now?? I love the slower pace of creating by hand, so the swap has been brilliant and very enjoyable for me. Though the list of things to make has grown longer too!
